For 19th century history, we have a choice of doing either a paper relating a 19th century work of literature to a 19th work of art or artistic movement:
OR: Do a kick ass project relating the 19th century work of art and work of literature.
Guess which one I'm opting to do?
My PLAN (this is pending professor approval) is to do a series of photographic illustration scenes from Oscar Wilde's "The Picture of Dorian Gray" – a combination of pivotal scenes and my personal favorites) demonstrating a research of Aesthetic symbolism, styles and imagery.
BUT: I can't do this alone, for obvious reasons. I need models for the following characters. If you know someone other than yourself who might fit the role, please let me know (and ask them, obviously).
Dorian Gray
Basil Hallward
Lord Henry Wotten
Sybil Vane
James Vane
And minor characters/ extras as needed.
AND: I need location suggestions for the following in Savannah
Buildings with 19th century interiors that allow for photographing
Gardens with a similar aesthetic (thinking about using the fountain in Orleans Square for at least one shot)
COSTUMING AND SUCH WILL BE DISCUSSED POST-CASTING, since I can't do this without a number of people.
